The Andromeda Protocol: An 8.53× Meta Campaign, Long Before the Advantage+ Consensus
The Legacy Granularity Trap
Most media buyers treat ad accounts like slot machines, constantly toggling micro-audiences and interest layers. In August 2023, while the industry was still bogged down in hyper-segmentation, we built the "Andromeda" framework. The thesis was simple: eliminate audience overlap, feed the pixel unpolluted data, and let Meta hunt on creative variance rather than artificial demographic restrictions.
The Unit Economics Breakdown
Sustaining performance across a 337-day scaling cycle rules out a "lucky creative wave." The core build achieved:
- Blended Acquisition Cost: A sustained £6.64 cost per purchase against an industry average hovering between £20 to £45.
- Algorithmic Velocity: Allowing broad data sets to dictate routing, which Meta later codified through standard Advantage+ rollouts.
Ignition vs Retention
An ad account does not live in isolation. While Meta was used as the front-end customer acquisition ignition system generating £197k in direct volume, the database retention took the burden off cold acquisition.
By passing high-intent data into a custom Klaviyo setup, owned media became the primary monetisation route, extracting £595k in high-margin retention revenue. The flow-to-campaign mix balanced automated product lifecycle journeys alongside editorial campaigns to protect margins and prevent audience fatigue.
